The strain name inherits its title Gush Mints from its lineage, as a combination of Gushers, Kush Mints, and F1 Durban Poison. In 2016, Auryn of PCG could see the landscape was changing, and that Oakland was going to designate green zones for legal cannabis, and Purple City would be among the first to secure a seat at the legal round table.
