XJ13 Genetics

XJ13 is a classic Sativa dominant chemovar from pre-legalization. A hybrid of the primordial 1990’s medical vs. prohibition eras strains Jack Herer and G13. XJ13 is a clonal chemovar believed to have originated in Southern California, specifically from the breeding efforts of a dispensary called Patient Care in Santa Ana. This according to Paradise Seeds and Seven Leaves. Seven Leaves, founded and lead by Ty Kearns, has a relationship to HENDRX originating in middle school in Humboldt County. Now based in Sacramento CA, Seven Leaves grows the HENDRX XJ13 in their Willy Wonka house of wonderment. According to the Google Trends search history, the XJ13 strain was unmentioned or searched until after March of 2010. The search history supports some rumors of Oklahoma growers coming out west and discovering the clone, showing it’s greatest concentration of query in Oklahoma. HENDRX fell in love with the strain in the mid 20teens moving duffle bags coming from the Honeydew area of Humboldt County and ensuring it’s safe travel to the East Coast.

XJ13 Cannabinoids

Back again after a sitting nearly dormant for a decade, the XJ13 has relaunched itself in 2025 as farmer friendly terpinolene and β-Ocimene dominant Sativa. Providing cannabinoid data to this archival pillar of the cannabis industry is Moca Humboldt. Lending their XJ13 data publicly to the cannabis community via SC Labs third party testing laboratories. Low end 26% THC and 2% CBG, the cannabinoids support the genetic origin story of G13 & Jack Herer. Terpinolene can be found in other Sativa dominant expressions like Eagle Scout T-111 or Oaxacan Wise.
